About Us
Rapid Charge Renewable Energy
RCRE uses patented superconducting charging system unavailable to all other EV charging companies. There is no faster way to deliver electric charge.
Vision for Innovation
Our Vision
RCRE is redefining the way we interact with transportation through sustainable, fast charging technology for a better future.
About Us
Who are we?
RCRE is a company that has a disruptive technology that addresses the global demand for fast charging of all electric-based transportation modalities.
Our patented technology moves away from the traditional power grid and harnesses sustainable energy sources. Most importantly, it promises to deliver faster charging times than any prevailing technology on the market.
We believe that this is not only critical for the environment but also for the future of transportation.
Our mission is to contribute to a better future and quality of life for all through our innovative technology and sustainable solutions.

Our History
01
Early in his career as a young solid state physicist, Morteza recognized the immense real world applications that superconductors would have if the temperature at which a material becomes a superconductor were sufficiently high.
02
Later, as an aerospace technologist, the deep knowledge of commercial aircraft and their impact on the environment seeded his personal quest to devise innovative solutions for the next generation of electric powered aircraft.
03
He was acutely aware that electric powered aircraft had identical challenges faced by all large electric transportation vehicles. For example, the electrical power required to charge a commercial aircraft, large ship or locomotive can be a much as that needed to power a (large) city.
04
After he helped to resolve the Li-Ion battery issue that grounded Boeing 787 in 2013, he worked meticulously on the electrification challenge. This resulted in a patent direct to his Direct Current Superconductor Fast Charging (DCSFC) system that could charge large commercial electric aircraft at roughly the same rate as traditional jet fueling.
05
Morteza’s vision was to engineer his DCSFC technology such that it is adaptable to all transport modalities. Virtually all types of electric vehicles could charged as fast or eventually even faster than fueling of internal combustion and turbine engine vehicles.
06
Morteza Safai’s DCSFC technology is captured in an issued U.S. patent No. 11,518,260
07
Morteza Safai left Boeing and founded Rapid Charge Renewable Energy (RCRE) in 2020 to exploit his patented invention.
